10:59 Pm
Hi guys,
i see nolf is dead, and we miss much members because already we have 6 Members and its really a pitty, that we must maybe close R|- Clan on birthday from R|- Clan :'( .
But: If i close R|- Clan, i don't will leave nolf so we just close the clan.

And i hope, much of you, can make something, that we musn't close R|-!

A320, ex inner party member from the JAG regime speaking here. Just thought to share my thoughts on the new clan closing trend going on. Pure opinions and quoted from JAG's site (some jag specific parts have been removed from the text). Might be interesting in regards to your decision....or not. If not, delete it :):

Ah, a new NOLF trend. Closing clans. It is of course easy, straight forward and it is shocking to put an end of a clan. What is the point of 'closing a clan' if you stay as a group afterwards anyway? What is the point of giving up a group, but not giving a group who will continue to play a game or games? I fail to the see the logic. So I think, D.O.A. is the big winner in this community. They (silently?) removed the clan part of their group and just went on as is while still being an indentifyable group of people (if needed). Be it a pink forum with a bit of flaming and gossip going around maybe a game of nolf (?). Just take a look at their forums. You may not agree with the topics there but that's not the point. It's the principle.

NOLF is in coma and is death has now become imminent so you can't run a "real" clan in NOLF. The only ones playing NOLF on a regular are the ones without life or challenges outside their home and they will remain there until the master server is shut down - fact. So that's a bad base to run a clan on, isn't it?

So to R| (and certainly JAG): Either choose to actively go to other games as a 'classic' clan or just screw it and make it informal. Cut the hierarchy, cut (most) of the rules and play as a group of individuals. But keep yourself identifyable! Even it is something such as a name or a forum. But yes that means a bit of effort.

Cut the seriousness and the black-white thinking.

Rant out.

Disclaimer: Above statements and opinions are based on 4,5 years clan experience from which 4 years as admin or 'leader' if you like.

Sad to see you also go, but like you told : NOLF is dead...almost.

The most of us (the active members) won't play nolf anymore and move on to FEAR. I will keep it as i still play in Freezy's place.

Bye R|-eaperclan cry
